Our Story

Made with ‘Chardi Kala’.

The Punjabi spirit of rising, always.

For generations, Punjabi mothers have made panjiri for the people they love.

Slow-roasted by hand, packed with ghee, nuts, seeds, and warming spices — panjiri has nourished South Asian families through new births, cold winters, and every celebration in between. When my daughters were born, a jar of handmade panjri sat constantly on my bedside table. It was the most deeply nourishing thing I had—tasting of pure comfort, maternal warmth, and five centuries of ancestral care.

For years, people asked my mother where they could buy it. She always said the same thing: it isn't sold. It's given.

"It tasted like being taken care of. Like Punjab, like home, like five centuries of mothers knowing exactly what another mother needed."

Panjiri is Punjabi heritage

The south asian community carries a disproportionately high burden of Type 2 diabetes — but this isn't only a South Asian problem. 1 in 3 American adults lives with diabetes or pre diabetes. Yet, the very traditional comfort foods tied to our identity are the ones we are now told to avoid. That felt wrong to us. Modern food practices changed the rules—filling our pantries with highly processed, high-gluten wheat and inflammatory refined sugars.

"We shouldn't have to choose between our heritage and our health."

So we gave Panjiri a modern makeover.

Months of testing. Every batch tasted by Biji and our community — the only judges that matter. Every ingredient questioned: how do we make this work for today?

The result is 17 whole ingredients. Nothing processed. Nothing artificial. No added sugar. No gluten. A good source of gut-healthy fibre. 120 calories per serving. And a flavour that tastes, unmistakably, like Biji's panjiri. We called it Posha — from the Sanskrit word for nourishment. Because whatever we make, that is what it will always be.

"If it doesn't belong in Biji's kitchen, it doesn't belong in ours."

Some things are too good to keep to yourself.

The goodness of Panjiri in its new form was too good to keep a secret. So we didn't. We bottled it, labelled it with love, and made it available to anyone who needs it — whether you grew up eating it at your Biji's table or you're discovering it for the very first time.

Every jar that leaves our kitchen carries five centuries of Punjabi tradition, a mother's hands, and a daughter's intention. We hope it nourishes your family the way it has always nourished ours.

"A flavor that tastes, unmistakably, like Biji's panjiri. Just better."

Our values reflect our roots.

Real ingredients. Always.

17 whole ingredients you can name and pronounce. No fillers, no shortcuts. If it doesn't belong in Biji's kitchen, it doesn't belong in ours.

Made for every body.

Gluten-free. 0g added sugar. Mindfully crafted with low-GI ingredients so nobody at the table has to say no.

Small batch. On purpose.

The moment a batch becomes too large to make with care and attention, it stops being Posha.

Chardi Kala.

The Punjabi spirit of rising, always. In every batch we make. We hope you feel it.
